Bulgarian Bridal Jewellery Traditional Necklace.

 Contemporary Shell gorget carved by Bennie Pokemire (Eastern Band Cherokee) In the Mississippian culture of the Southeast, dating from 800 BCE to 1500 CE, clay, stone, and pearl beads were worn. Shell gorgets were incised with bold imagery from the Southeastern Ceremonial Complex.
